[If she had known of his plan, she might've tried to stop him. Instead, Erina is curled up delicately in the bed, a look of quiet peacefulness on her face as she drifts in dreams of weddings and doves, perhaps forever attached to the day she dreamed of since the day she fell in love with Jonathan Joestar. He leaves, and she stirs only a little, mumbling something unintelligible and soft as she turns the precious ring on her finger. Since she arrived, she refuses to take it off. She refuses to be separated from her Jojo.

By the time he returns, her sleep is more shallow, those precious minutes before she would normally be awakened by hunger, or by the movement of her dear husband gently easing her to face the morning. She isn't the best at mornings in the first few moments, but he couldn't have done this more perfectly. First, the scent of freshly made food wafts right up to her, then she peeks from behind mussed bangs to see her beloved standing there with a platter, closing her eyes again as his lips press against her skin.

And then he speaks, and her cheeks redden. There had been hardly any time for anyone to call her that, and no one here really does, so to hear it spoken is miraculous, and makes her marvelously happy. Her heart soars, and her delicate smile is a touch brighter than even usual, as her bleary gaze resolves and she reaches from beneath the sheets to touch his cheek.]

Good morning, Jojo.

[He loves to see her like this. He loves the flutter of her eyelids as they slowly draw open, the languid movements of her body, the smile that graces her features like a blessing from heaven itself. If he had a choice, he would have this moment last forever, let it be their moment, away from the rest of the world together.

A quiet laugh escapes him, soft and low. Every second he becomes more and more aware that by some stroke of fortune, this woman is his wife.]

You look wonderful today.

[With a little sound of surprise and amusement, she shakes her head. He's too perfect, isn't he? Doting and honest almost to a fault, perfectly suited to one so gentle, yet unafraid. And growing bolder and stronger by the day, thanks to Jonathan. They're close enough to invincible, in moments like this. Erina couldn't be happier that he's the first thing she's able to see when she wakes up in the morning, and the last thing she sees at night. Everything in between is like heaven. It's difficult to recall ever being parted, in moments such as these.]

I only just woke up. My hair must look a mess.

[In moments like this, Jonathan almost forgets that their time is short. He feels immortal by her side as he gently sweeps her bangs to the side.]

I hope everything is to your satisfaction. I've only just started learning how to cook.

[She sits up properly, though slowly, still not accustomed to this place and the special kind of tiredness it brings her. But as long as Jonathan is there, she'll try her hardest. Well, she would anyway, but he makes it so much easier.]

I'm sure it will be perfect. You're very good at learning new things.
